May 18, 2024: The Extended Vigil of Pentecost

Haven’t posted in a while, I know, but the schedule’s just sort of aligned itself so that I haven’t had a livestreamed Mass. What can I say, stuff happens. But sometimes stuff also happens that is good. Case in point, we made a last-minute decision to stream the Vigil Mass for Pentecost. We did the extended form of the vigil, and brought in the choir and some brass players to make it really special. Turns out it’s a good thing we did; the livestream for the 9:00 Mass (which I also had) failed, for whatever reason.

I liked both homilies, but I think this one was a little better. Besides, there’s a good chance you’ve heard the 9:00 before, at least in part. So, without further ado…
