Praying the Stations of the Cross has always been one of my favorite devotionals. I can’t quite put my finger on why that is; but it seems liek it’s always been the case. Leading them with a congregation has made them even more meaningful, but (once again) this lousy pandemic has tried to ruin that, too. On the other hand, praying them alone in the church last year, while feeling like you’re surrounded and under assault by some insidious, invisible enemy, was a source of great consolation.
The situation has improved a little bit last year, and we’re able to go back to having Stations in the churches and with other people. That doesn’t mean everyone can, however. So if you’re looking for a way to pray the Stations at home, here’s this video. I made this one all the way at the beginning of the pandemic and knew even less about video editing than I do now (which still isn’t much), so if you find it low-quality, forgive me. My hope is at least you find it spiritually efficacious.
